One Alloway Retreat is an architect designed, contempory styled, luxury accommodation (sleeps up to 10) located in the picturesque village of Alloway, the historic birth place of Robert Burns. One Alloway combines innovative design with art, furniture and serene contemporary interiors which have been inspired by Rob and Marks travels around the world, creating an oasis of calm and laid back atmosphere. Rob and Mark previously ran One Alloway Retreat as a boutique B&B, winning the prestigious Trip Advisor award of 8th best B&B in the world in January 2012, and were also ranked no 1 on Trip Advisor in the west of Scotland for luxury accommodation. One Alloway retreat was featured in 25 most beautiful homes magazine in 2011.We now offer the entire house for booking. The ideal venue for a large group of friends on a golfing, hill walking, , cycling holiday, whiskey tours or wedding celebrations at the Brig O Doon house hotel. A superb large house for any family gathering, special birthdays, anniversaries, corporate and team building event.
One Alloway Retreat is superbly located a 10 minute walk to Alloway village burns cottage and heritage centre. Brig o Doon house hotel, Scotland's premier wedding venue and one off Ayrshire finest restaurants is a one minute drive from One Alloway short stroll from the house past the river Doon and you arrive at Ayrshire spectacular coastline and beach, with breathtaking views of Arran. A leisurely 1 mile walk along Ayrs promenade takes you into Ayr town center, where the choice of bistro bars, restaurants and shopping is endless.
One Alloway Retreat overlooks Sea field/bellisle golf course which sits proudly within the magnificent grounds of Belleisle Estate in Ayr. Played alone, or in combination with its "big sister" of Belleisle, Seafield offers an attractive and challenging game of golf in this popular Ayrshire destination and both course within walking distance. Many of Ayrshire world renowned golf courses are a short drive from Alloway, making One Alloway retreat an ideal base for golfing.
One Alloway Retreat has 5 luxury bedrooms (3 en-suites) a luxury family bathroom complimented with oval bath and walk in double rain shower. There are 2 main living areas. The front facing lounge has a oriental theme, featuring a large living flame gas fire and deep sofas which create a warm and inviting ambience, ideal for reading, listening to music or catching up on your days activities. The second lounge is a bright south facing room with patio doors to the decked area onto the garden, complimented with 2 large leather sofas and LCD screen DVD player. Wi-Fi complimentary throughout house.
The state of the art open planned kitchen(with separate laundry and ironing room)is fully equipped with all top of the range modern appliances, and features a open planned design, which allows the cook to cook whilst entertaining or the guests to entertain the cook whilst a sumptuous meal is prepared. For dining there is a large versatile table and chairs, and breakfast bar area.(Highchair available on request) Adjacent to the kitchen/dining area is an impressive lounge sitting area with a vast vaulted glass ceiling, flooding the interior with natural light. This area overlooks the south facing garden with wall to wall concertina doors opening up to the patio area with seating, great for evening drinks, barbeques and sunbathing.
